Our History

2004
Advantage Racing Products was started in Utah by Tony Newland, and had a very strong following among Northwestern United States racers. This following quickly spread across the country and world. Advantage initially offered products such as Cradock Brakes, Pipe Springs, Tire Glue, and of course the famous 1/8 Buggy Spoke Wheels.

2005
Advantage Racing Products branched out into the cut-throat 1/8 Buggy Tire industry…they participated in the testing and design of DLD tires (France), and imported the tires and closed cell foams to the United States.

2006
Advantage Racing Products grew quickly as a result of the high quality products offered, as well as a highly effective marketing strategy which included features and promotion in high quality R/C videos, a next level website, striking magazine advertisements, solid racer support, and a strong grassroots following.

2007
Advantage Racing Products was sold in 2007 to Jon Martin (owner of Carolinas RC) and moved to Charlotte, NC. The successful CRC Ball Bearing products were immediately added to Advantage’s product line, and quickly became our best selling products. The precision steel bearings were proven to be durable, high quality, and long lasting, and were used exclusively by several professional drivers in numerous RC PRO, ROAR Nationals and IFMAR Worlds races.

2008
In 2008 we completed our testing on Ceramic Ball Bearings, and started offering a full line of ceramic bearings to support most major 1/8 and 1/10 vehicles. We also added several new products to our offerings, including Brakes, Threadlock, Pipe Gaskets, and others. Advantage made the decision to step out of the 1/8 Buggy Tire industry due to increasing competition, changing tire and wheel sizes, and unfavorable import and exchange costs.
